The deadline for submissions to the 2018 Awards is fast approaching, so now is the time to get your submissions in.
There are 10 categories this year, they are:
Best innovation in Immersive Video Experience (VRAR, 360, UHD)

Breakthrough advertising technology
“Advertising is becoming more and more intelligent. This award is reserved for the best example of smart advertising placement,” says Szabo.
Leading content discovery and personalisation platform
“This award will recognise a platform that has led the field in personalisation and content discovery.”
Most cutting-edge encoding solution
“This award is open to the company that has demonstrated a new and highly effective approach to video encoding.”
Best OTT platform service
“Having a strong OTT strategy is essential in today’s market. This award will go to the service or solution that best positions their OTT customer among the competition.”
Most innovative in-home device
“The lines between smart home solutions and entertainment are starting to blur. This award recognises a truly unique and trailblazing solution.”
Best in-class AI use case
“This award recognises the best use of machine learning/data analytics in media distribution.”
Best network optimisation implementation
“Delivering a great service all the time across the network is essential in maintaining viewers. This award recognises the solution implemented to get the most out of a network.”
Best multiscreen service
“This award goes to the company that has brought the most compelling multiscreen service to market.”
Excellence in Content Protection Award
“Securing content is essential in a IP-first world. This award recognises the best use of security software,” explains Szabo.
The winners will be announced at a gala reception on May 9, but ito be in with a chance of winning, you need to submit your entry by April 3 to enter. The entry form is here.
