The Easy Way to Market Generation Z

As generation Z and millennials are growing up, they are going to be doing tons of spending. This means that there are many ways to market your brand to help improve business. In fact, according to Forbes, there are plenty of tips and tricks you can use to market to young individuals in this period of their lives.

Firstly, instead of focusing your attention on profiting and gaining think for a moment. If you help gen Z by promoting and creating sales towards your product and brand, you’ll be profiting way more rather than keeping the ordinary prices for your products. A millennial can spot a sale a minute away so by doing this they’ll easily get the urge to shop and consume your product as fast as they can before the product isn’t on sale anymore. It’s like a win-win situation.

The next step to market a generation Z junkie is by promotion and advertisement. Almost every millennial you see has a phone let’s be honest so the best way to promote is by advertising the brand the apps generation Z most commonly uses which is Snapchat and Instagram.

Another strategic way to promote would be to collaborate your brand with a celebrity for the gen Z junkie to having a higher urge of consuming the product. For example, in May 2017, Chrissy Teagan’s Becca Glow Face Palette came out in beauty stores such as Sephora and Ulta. According to WWD due to her massive reach on social media with a following of 12.7 million on Instagram, her palette profit and sales surpassed other beauty brands in these makeup stores within 90 minutes. This proves the power and influence celebrities and social influencers must have to market Generation Z.

Although you can promote your brand to millennials, a key factor you must have to do so is to be authentic towards your brand and product. In society many consumers take into consideration the product and how it can help the people, the community and the environment. A great example would be beauty companies and how most of their products are cruelty free! Through a gen Z’s consumers perspective, you are not only helping the people and the environment, you are helping the animals.

According to Forbes, millennials and generation Z are known to support and practice vegetarianism. So, companies like LUSH Cosmetics will be favored by gen Z because they spread the cruelty-free message. Around Easter time they spread the message of saving the bunnies which are easily targeted and killed, which made consumers proud to shop at LUSH.

Overall, organizations can apply these tips and tricks to have a positive outcome on their brand.
