Introducing the PCT Lifetime Achievement Award 2018

pct-award-2018-banner-new

This November over 1000 clinical trial professionals will be gathering in Barcelona for Partnerships in Clinical Trials Europe. Each year, the week offers a chance to recognize an industry leader with the PCT Lifetime Achievement Award in association with mdgroup, and in 2018 the prize will be presented on 28 November.

The prestigious prize rewards those who have made a major impact on the world of clinical trials over their career; those who have changed the direction the industry is moving in and left a legacy. Now in its fourth year, the honour first went to Professor Kenneth Getz in 2015 for his work as Director and Associate Professor at Tufts Center for the Study of Drug Development, before Jean Edwards, Procurement Director for Europe, Australia & Japan at Eli Lilly, then took the award in 2016.

Last year, Dr Greg Koski, Chairman, Co-Founder and President/CEO at ACRES and Associate Professor of Anesthesia at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School, gave a heartfelt acceptance speech after being presented with the award. Dr Koski expressed a sense of prematurity about the award:

'What is yet to be achieved is enormous and can't be achieved alone, for there is much to be done. That leaves me with a sense of great sadness, for whilst we have our lives and the opportunity to do much more, that's not true for everyone.'

You can watch the full speech below.

We will be revealing the shortlist for 2018’s award before the event, so keep an eye out!
