New in car technologies – Connected Cars at Apps World Europe

Apps World Europe, which takes place at London’s Excel November 12-13, has launched a new Connected Car Track for the show which will deliver the latest in connected car innovation and new in-car technologies with a speaker line-up that includes Kia’s head of connected car.

Henry Bzeih, CTO and head of connected car at Kia, will keynote the one day track on November 13 which will include the very latest in existing and future technology for the automotive market. His presentation will look at the unique challenges that car manufacturers face when connecting with the telecoms world and how partnerships can be built and leveraged. Kia is very active in this market but Bzeih admits it’s a market that’s not without its challenges since usability and safety is absolutely key.

His presentation will follow a keynote panel that will examine the connected car revolution and the latest state of the connected car market and the connectivity issues and challenges the market over faces – finding the answers that will help companies overcome them. 4G LTE internet connectivity in particular is driving exciting opportunities for this market as the driving and passenger experience becomes as connected as the rest of our lives. This panel will help look at how to embrace internet connectivity in-car as well as out.

The Connected Car track at Apps World Europe will encompass not just the automotive innovations that relate directly to driving but to everything from infotainment to navigation within the car environment. Connectivity is proving hugely exciting for the automotive market and it’s something many businesses are investing heavily in. The track will examine how car manufacturers and the connected apps ecosystem can work together including everything from exploring the best business models for the connected car value chain to understanding and leveraging developer communities; a session that looks at what the consumer wants from their connected car experience and one that looks at the importance of technology and data and the role of navigation.
