Winners of the Best Overall Hack in the TV Hackfest will also receive a £1,000 bursary to the Accelerator Academy programme, which aims to help aspiring entrepreneurs and an iPad mini from BskyB.

In the Auto Hackfest our sponsor General Motors is providing £3,000 of prizes with two awards of £1,500 cash for our winners. And we do mean wads since the prizes will be awarded in stashes of fivers to the winning teams!

In the Apps Hackfest Hailo is offering a £1,500 prize for the Best Overall Hack, Betfair will be offering £1,000 of cash for the winners of its specific brand brief whilst Amazon will be awarding winning team members with 20 Kindle Fires up for grabs (up to 5 per team). Amazon’s brief includes Best App targeting Kindle Fire, Best Use of Amazon Services overall, Best Use of Amazon GameCircle and a surprise category to be announced at the event. The giant will also be giving away a £10 Amazon gift card to each of the first 100 participants.
