So for the final blog from Apps World of 2015 I thought it would be a great time to take a look at what we’ve seen in the tech and app space this year and the biggest achievements in the Apps World team.
With a tech scene that moves as fast as the App space does, keeping on top of new trends is becoming ever increasingly difficult for our research team but the top 3 trends and movements we have seen this year we have tried to summaries in this post:
- It‘s all about Wearables! We all know the importance of wearables and how they can be used for everyday life hacks but 2015 has seen how wearable technologies can go to the next step and beyond just the apple watch and google class. Watch this space for the biggest life hacks in the wearables for 2016!
- The Emergence of Fintech and disruptors in the finance sector - Fintech seems to have been the buzzword for 2015 in the finance tech space, with new disruptors appearing in the banking space, we saw the founder of Metrobank and Atom bank speak at Apps World London this year, and one of the overriding themes he spoke about was that competition in an extremely old fashioned industry is driving innovation in the finance space.
- The continued growth of IoT - The internet of things isn’t new for 2015 but has gone 1 step further this year. With more and more interconnected devices, the demand for IoT apps is greater than ever and set to more than double the size of the smartphone, pc, tablet, connected car, and the wearable market combined. David Shing, Digital Prophet from AOL, spoke about the importance of humanising technology and the importance and emergence of IoT devices to enable human beings.
So with these trends in mind, 2016 looks set to be an exciting year in the apps and technology space, with technologies continually evolving and looking to improve our everyday lives, and Apps World is THE place to keep on top of these trends as and when they happen!
All that’s left to say is Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year from the Apps World Team, thanks for your continued support and we look forward to seeing you again in 2016!
